End of Life - Did you know?

Euthanasia is the deliberate killing of a sick or disabled person as a means of supposedly ending their suffering.

Did you know:

• Worldwide, euthanasia and assisted suicide are only available in the Netherlands, Belgium and 1 American state. Think about it!
  
  
• 75% of British Doctors would refuse to perform assisted suicide, even if it was legal.
  
  
• Thousands of Dutch people now carry anti-euthanasia passports.
  

Is there an alternative?

Palliative care involves a patient being given relief from pain and other distressing symptoms through medication and special care.

• Did you know that doctors can relieve 95% of pain in terminally ill patients, either in hospital or at home?
